Biography of Michael D. -

| I spent 25 years as a truck driver but was also very connected to my two beautiful girls. I participated as much as possible in a Parent Co-Op Preschool. With my wife, I was a Co-Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Cookie Chairman.
Our family had a small scale hog farm where I taught the girls about caring for animals and life in general. I was also a 4-H Leader, working with children of various ages.
I retired five years ago from my job. With nothing to do, I felt something was missing; the children were grown, the nest empty….
As a Grandfather to four lovely kids, I feel blessed. Being able to be surrogate “Gramps” to all the children at Busy Little Bees Daycare is like a dream come true. Now that my daughter has asked me if I wanted to help her with all of the little ones, I have happily found what was missing. |
