I am the mother of two grown children and for the last two years I have cared for an infant and worked as an assistant in a home day care. I really enjoyed those experiences and felt fulfilled spending time with children. Now I am opening my own home day care and would like to start with infants up to three year olds. I have decided to dedicate myself to this age group because I believe infants have very different needs and undergo different developmental stages than preschoolers and I am ready to adhere to their special needs. By focusing only on one age group my daycare is unique in providing a safer and more appropriate developmental stimulus to all of the children. My goal is as my infants become toddlers and preschoolers, I would shift into a preschool program. Currently I am attending workshops at PCOE (Placer County Office of Education) to get ready to create and offer a well balanced preschool program when it is time to enter that phase. My home will be the safe, loving and nurturing environment you have been looking for your precious one.
