Description:
Iliff Preschool and Kindergarten is one of Denver’s most experienced educational child care centers. Celebrating over 40 years of service, it is located at the original site, 4140 East Iliff Avenue, and has been privately owned by the same family since 1963.
Licensed for 223 children, ages 12 months to 14 years, Iliff Preschool and Kindergarten meets the complex needs of its families with flexible scheduling, two toddler nurseries, preschool, pre-K, and a real DC7 airplane that has been magically converted into a kindergarten classroom. The school-age program serves children attending University Park Elementary before and after school and during school closures. The popular summer camps for children older than 4 years of age up to 14 years of ages include enrichment field trips in center owned school busses.
The staff at Iliff Preschool and Kindergarten has created an environment where children learn by doing in carefully designed indoor and outdoor areas where they are given opportunities to explore and grow. Activities challenge them to be creative, as well as to develop emotionally, cognitively, socially, and physically. Individuality is respected, self-concept is enhanced and self- confidence is encourages. Computer labs are available in all rooms except the toddler nurseries, and Spanish, dance, and piano are offered in addition to the regular curriculum. Even the eight, outside play areas are developmentally appropriate and have mature landscape, high safety standards, and expertly-engineered design which make them unmatched anywhere in the Denver area.
