Description:
Play to Learn Children’s Center is now enrolling preschool and school-age children!
We believe that children learn best through play---through hands-on exploration of interesting and engaging materials within their environment. Children are innately curious about their surroundings and at Play to Learn, we encourage this inquisitiveness by asking open-ended questions that will further your child’s understanding of how this world works. We create a weekly hands-on curriculum that’s based on each child’s current interests and developmental level. We also utilize the Preschool Learning Foundations developed by the California Department of Education as well as the Desired Results Developmental Record (DRDP; assessment tool) to insure that each child is adequately prepared to enter and succeed in Kindergarten. We firmly believe that a person’s attitudes towards school and learning are formed in the early years of life and we want to be sure these are positive experiences for your child to carry into adulthood. Our teachers are always continuing their own education and training in Early Childhood Education. Head teacher Mallory has two years center experience teaching pre-kindergarten children. She has also earned an Associate Teacher Credential. Assistant teacher Ben has four years experience with school-age children. He has also earned an Associates degree in Liberal Arts. Together, this husband and wife team will encourage your child’s development of self-esteem, respect for self and others, and a lifelong passion for learning.
